Cindy is a local insurance agent with State Farm. It had been a while since she had an updated look, and she wanted a complete rebrand. We decided to develop a brand photoshoot that showed a powerful, professional woman, as well as show her fun side, and some Wichita local flavor.
We chose GRIT Studios and Collab for the first portion of her brand photoshoot. The exposed brick is beautiful, plus they have a wide variety of props to use such as couches, chairs, desks and so on. It’s definitely a great space to rent for your brand session!

First, start with your photographer. Part of being a professional photographer is location scouting, and staying informed on rental locations. Here are my top ways to find perfect locations for your personal branding photoshoot in Wichita, KS.
1. AirBnB: Do a quick search for local airbnb’s. Look for neutral, upscale colors and lots of windows and natural light. AirBnB’s or VrBO have several options – renting a home can give us a lot of backdrops for headshots, working photos, and lifestyle images. If it’s spring or summer, check out the outdoor areas in the home as well. Think about renting a space with a pool for a completely different vibe!
2. Peerspace: Peer space is a search engine that lists properties in the area available for rent for photoshoots. There aren’t a whole lot to choose from in Wichita, yet, but it’s still a good place to look for updates!
3.) Rent a Location: If you see something like a hotel or restaurant that would make for a beautiful backdrop, don’t be afraid to ask about renting it for an hour or two. Some will even let us take photos free of charge. I always try and purchase something to support them for their kindness, and tag them in the photos. In addition, when you post the pictures in social media, be sure and tag them!

People are usually flattered that you think so much of their home to want a photoshoot in it! For realtors, you often have access to a beautiful model home to shoot in.
